BeeHive Hexagon pattern

Introducing BeeHive

Bzzzzzz! Summer holidays are over, and I’m excited to present BeeHive, another original design by AdO Crochet!

This is my first hexagon pattern, and it’s available in three languages:

✅ English (US terms)

✅ German (included in a ZIP file)

✅ Dutch (included in a ZIP file)

The pattern is symmetrical, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed crocheters.

Two Crochet Techniques Included

The pattern is designed for both:

Overlay Mosaic Crochet – Includes tutorials, X-charts, a detailed written pattern, and a large printable X-chart.

Interlocking Filet Crochet – Includes a photo tutorial, detailed written pattern, and a video tutorial (demonstrating the basics using an octagon).

The design works in the round, from the center outward, meaning:

✔️ No yarn cutting for mosaic crochet.

✔️ No front-to-back turning for interlocking filet crochet.

Yarn Requirements

Hook size 2.2mm (US B/C)

Pattern Colour A: 1700m (1850y)

Background Colour B: 1600m (1750y)

Size (top to bottom): 99cm (39 inches)

Hook size 3mm (US D)

Pattern Colour A: 3300m (3550y)

Background Colour B: 3300m–3500m (3500y)

Size (top to bottom): 162cm (64 inches)

Important Notes:

Size depends on tension, hook size, and yarn thickness.

If you change your hook size or yarn ply, you may need more or less yarn.

The pattern consists of 167 rounds.

✨ The ombre yarn used in the sample is a custom 3-ply ombre provided by BrambleWood Yarns.

I hope you enjoy crocheting BeeHive Hexagon! Let me know if you have any questions.
